Congratulations to the KnightKrawler Robotics team from Irondale High School on their recent win at the regional competition in Duluth, Minn. With this win, the team advances to the World Championship in Houston, Texas, and likely secures a bid to the Minnesota State Tournament.
Donatelle is a sponsor of the Irondale High School (New Brighton, MN) robotics team.
This year, the team needed to design, build, program and test a robot that can pick up and deliver large balls into a central scoring hub, as well as perform a climbing traversal. The robot, “Firefly,” uses vision tracking to determine the angle and velocity to launch balls into the top basket from anywhere on the competition field.
The team also will compete April 8 and 9 in a regional competition at the Williams Arena on the University of Minnesota campus. Go KnightKrawler!
